Summary

Work outdoors scanning lift tickets, grouping guests to keep lines moving, and answering resort questions in all weather conditions.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: Hourly wage, adjusted based on experience.
  • Benefits: Seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:

Become a member of the largest lift operations team in the East and work where you play! Ticket checkers are on-snow ticket specialists who spend their day outside on the mountain and ensure that every skier or snowboarder has a valid day ticket or season pass before boarding a lift. On busy days, ticket checkers are also responsible for grouping people together to keep lift lines moving efficiently.

This position involves working outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, and rain, on varied snow surfaces, and requires standing for the majority of the scheduled shift.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for grouping people together to keep lift lines moving efficiently
  • Answer guest questions by becoming familiar with Killington & Pico's layout, products, services, and current conditions or referring them to someone who can
  • Identify fraudulent or counterfeit credentials
  • Communicate safety procedures and rules for riding the lifts to the guests as necessary
  • Handle upset guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Maintain lift maze area, including shoveling and raking as necessary
  • Ability to learn RFID technology upon training and assist with troubleshoot issues with scanners
