You’ll receive guidance from experienced engineers while gaining exposure to data architecture, data processing, and analytics workflows in an enterprise environment. We are currently looking for a highly motivated student to join us in our Waterloo, Ontario, Canada office for a 4‑month co‑op, running from January 5th–April 22nd 2027. This is a hybrid position, where you are expected to be in the office Tuesday-Thursday, with the opportunity to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Position Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a team of data engineers focused on building reliable, scalable data systems
  • Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and workflows
  • Assist with data ingestion, transformation, and preparation for reporting and analytics use cases
  • Collaborate with engineering and business teams to understand data requirements and support solutions

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java)
  • Interest in data engineering concepts, including data pipelines and data processing
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to data tools (e.g., Spark, Databricks, or similar technologies)
  • Basic understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, or data warehousing
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Understanding of large‑scale data processing concepts

Compensation

Please note the salary range isexpected to be between $52,650 CAD to $70,200 CAD. The annual salary will be pro‑rated based on the length of the work‑term #LI-Hybrid
