Wireless Engineer
Person will be expected to:
-Implement acquired controllers and Aps
-Interested in leveraging for mapping/wayfinding
-Authenticate via ISE based portal
-Will soon be deploying RFID across wireless.
-All Cisco hardware.
Additional Info. They just upgraded controllers and went down to two for their campuses, down from I believe 10 or so.
They added 200 new AP’s and will reuse the rest. I believe they have more than 1,000 now.
Wireless network being deployed was not designed to support the load this application will require
- 5 years, linux/kernel driver development
- 5 years, embedded software/firmware development
- Expert in C
- Strong 802.11 experience, MAC, PHY, QoS
- Knowledge of networking layers - ethernet, IP, IPv6
- Experience debugging hardware/firmware - JTAG, etc
Preferred experience:
- DFS, radar detection, spectral scan, DFS certification
- ath9k/ath10k driver
- 802.11 MAC, PHY software/firmware/driver development
- hardware/firmware bring-up
- Qualcomm Atheros driver/firmware
- 802.11s, QoS, rate control, traffic fairness
