Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cisco SDN/SDN Engineer to join our dynamic network engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and troubleshooting of Cisco SDN/SDA solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the optimization and automation of our network infrastructure using Cisco's SDN technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SDN Implementation & Configuration:
1. Deploy and manage Cisco SDN solutions including Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) and Cisco DNA (Digital Network Architecture).
2. Configure and integrate network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) to work within the SDN framework.
3. Ensure scalability, performance, and redundancy of the SDN environment.
2. Network Automation & Orchestration:
1. Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline network provisioning and management.
2. Develop and deploy scripts (using Python, Ansible, or similar tools) for automation tasks.
3. Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
1. Continuously monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to SDN components.
2. Perform root cause analysis and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
4. Collaboration & Documentation:
1. Collaborate with network architects, systems engineers, and other IT teams to optimize SDN solutions.
2. Document SDN configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
5. Security and Compliance:
1. Ensure that SDN architecture is designed and deployed with strong security measures in place.
2. Follow industry best practices and security standards to maintain a secure SDN environment.
6. Ongoing Maintenance & Support:
1. Provide ongoing support for the SDN infrastructure, including upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
2. Keep up to date with Cisco's latest SDN offerings and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE in Routing & Switching or Data Center) preferred.
• Proven experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco DNA, and other Cisco SDN solutions.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, switching, routing, VLANs, VXLAN, etc.
• Hands-on experience with network automation tools like Python, Ansible, or similar.
• Familiarity with network security concepts, firewalls, and access control.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with experience in SDN environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other SDN platforms like OpenFlow, VMware NSX, or similar.
• Knowledge of cloud networking technologies and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with SD-WAN solutions.
