WOLCS Afterschool Kids Club

*This position is Part -Time, Non-exempt Hourly; Starting Range $17.00 - $18.41

Under general supervision, provide care, supervision, and support for elementary-aged students participating in the After School Kids Club program. Assist in maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging environment while supervising children after school until they are picked up by a parent or authorized guardian. Support students with homework, facilitate recreational activities, encourage positive social interactions, and assist in resolving conflicts using age-appropriate behavior management techniques. Help maintain a welcoming, organized, and developmentally appropriate environment in accordance with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.

Supervise children during after-school hours to ensure a safe, positive, and nurturing environment. Monitor indoor and outdoor activities, assist with transitions, and ensure students are released only to authorized individuals.

Assist students with homework by providing encouragement, guidance, and clarification while promoting independent learning. Support reading, basic math, and study skills as needed.

Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate recreational activities, games, crafts, and group activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and positive social interaction.

Promote positive behavior by modeling respect, patience, and kindness. Assist with conflict resolution using positive behavior management techniques and reinforce program expectations. Monitor student behavior and complete accident or incident reports as needed

Assist with program setup and cleanup, maintain supplies and activity areas, communicate with parents and staff as appropriate, attend staff meetings and training sessions, and perform other duties as assigned.
