Job Description:
These student-worker roles primarily support the school’s marketing and recruitment efforts, while also providing important tutoring and learning assistance to fellow students. Student workers will help strengthen the Johnson School of Business (JSOB)’s external communication, promote academic offerings, support recruitment activities, and contribute to social media and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing, Recruitment, and Outreach Responsibilities
- Assist with social media planning and execution, including drafting captions, scheduling posts, and providing basic graphics support as needed.
- Support the development of marketing materials that communicate academic offerings internally and externally.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including events, outreach efforts, and other initiatives designed to promote the school and its programs.
- Help represent JSOB in a professional and positive manner when communicating with prospective students, parents, and other external audiences.
Tutoring and Academic Support Responsibilities
- Provide tutoring for business courses, especially Fundamental courses.
- Explain concepts clearly and break down problems step-by-step to support student understanding.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled student at JSOB in good academic standing.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, prospective students, and parents.
- Demonstrated competence in the subject areas.
- Patience and the ability to explain academic concepts clearly to peers.
- Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and uphold academic integrity.
Work Schedule
- Schedule: 5–10 hours per week
- Term: Fall and Spring semesters
