Workday HCM Consultant
Summary
Configures and maintains Workday HCM modules (Core HR, Recruiting, Talent, etc.) for clients, translating HR needs into system changes and guiding them through testing and deployment.
We are seeking a Workday HCM Analyst/Consultant tosupport the ongoing configuration, enhancement, and maintenance of WorkdayHuman Capital Management modules. The successful candidate will work closelywith client stakeholders to assess business requests, configure system changes,and ensure smooth, well-tested delivery into production.
Key Responsibilities
● Assess and analyze incomingbusiness requests against current Workday HCM configuration (e.g. Core HR,Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Absence, or related modules as assigned)
● Translate business requirementsinto functional design specifications and configuration changes
● Manage requests through thefull lifecycle — intake, impact assessment, prioritization, build, testing, anddeployment
● Conduct unit testing, systemintegration testing (SIT), and support user acceptance testing (UAT) forconfiguration changes
● Prepare functionaldocumentation, configuration workbooks, and test scripts
● Engage with business stakeholdersto clarify requirements and manage expectations on timelines and impact
● Track and report on requeststatus and resolution progress
Required Skills & Experience
● Hands-on experience configuringWorkday HCM (Core HR at minimum; additional modules a plus)
● Strong understanding of HRbusiness processes (hire-to-retire lifecycle, org management, compensation,absence, etc.)
● Experience working withbusiness process configuration, security groups, and calculated fields
● Ability to write clearfunctional specifications and test scripts
● Strong stakeholder managementand communication skills
● Experience working in large,complex environments preferred
Good to Have
● Workday HCM certification(s)
● Experience with WorkdayReporting
● Exposure to governance andprioritization processes in a large program environment
