Workday Reporting Analyst - HCM/Financials

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain custom, advanced, and matrix reports in Workday across HCM, Financials, and other modules.

- Create and optimize calculated fields, report prompts, filters, and data sources to meet complex business requirements.

- Build interactive dashboards, Discovery Boards, and analytics solutions to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.

- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective Workday reporting solutions.

- Ensure report accuracy, performance, security, and compliance with data governance and access control standards.

- Troubleshoot reporting issues and implement enhancements to improve usability, performance, and accuracy.

- Support user training and promote self-service reporting capabilities across business teams.

- Maintain documentation of reporting solutions, calculated fields, report configurations, and technical specifications.

- Stay updated on Workday reporting features, releases, and industry best practices.

- Partner with technical teams on data integrations and advanced analytics tools, including Workday Prism Analytics, when required.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Hands-on experience with Workday reporting and analytics.

- Strong expertise in custom, advanced, and matrix reports.

- Experience creating and maintaining calculated fields, report prompts, filters, and data sources.

- Knowledge of Workday business objects, report security, and data access controls.

- Experience building dashboards and analytics solutions for business stakeholders.

- Understanding of Workday HCM, Financials, and related functional modules.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to data accuracy and report performance.

- Ability to gather business requirements and convert them into effective reporting solutions.

- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Workday Discovery Boards and interactive analytics.

- Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics and advanced data analysis.

- Familiarity with data integration concepts and reporting across multiple Workday modules.

- Experience supporting Workday releases, reporting enhancements, and self-service analytics adoption.

- Workday Reporting or Prism Analytics certification is an advantage.
