Job Title: Workday Absence & Time Tracking Senior Consultant
Location: Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; or Philadelphia, PA preferred. Candidates near other designated office locations may also be considered.
Onsite Requirements: Hybrid preferred for candidates located within 25 miles of an office. Approximately 2-3 days per week onsite, with flexibility based on project and client needs.
Compensation Range: $160,000-$165,000 annually

Introduction
We are seeking an experienced, client-focused Workday Absence & Time Tracking Senior Consultant to join a growing Workday HCM consulting practice.
This individual will work directly with clients to understand their business requirements, design and configure Workday solutions, and support implementations through testing, deployment, and post-production stabilization. The ideal candidate brings strong Workday Absence and Time Tracking expertise, client-facing consulting experience, and the ability to manage responsibilities across multiple phases of an implementation.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with an organization currently investing in the growth and development of its Workday practice.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Workday Absence and Time Tracking solutions.
- Lead client workshops focused on requirements gathering, business processes, solution design, and system configuration.
- Configure Workday Absence and Time Tracking functionality based on client requirements and recommended practices.
- Conduct fit-gap assessments and recommend practical solutions for client-specific needs.
- Advise clients on Workday functionality, implementation practices, and opportunities for system optimization.
- Support the design and development of Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics.
- Partner with data-conversion teams to support the migration and validation of legacy data.
- Collaborate with integration teams to configure and test connections between Workday and external systems.
- Develop testing strategies, create test scripts, support testing cycles, and resolve identified issues.
- Provide client training and support organizational change-management activities.
- Troubleshoot functional and configuration issues during implementation and post-production support.
- Maintain knowledge of current Workday releases, features, and functionality.
- Contribute to the continued development of internal tools, delivery processes, and implementation methodologies.
- Support pre-sales activities such as demonstrations, proposals, solution discussions, and client presentations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of Workday consulting or implementation experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Absence and Time Tracking.
- Experience configuring Workday solutions based on client requirements and business processes.
- Previous consulting-firm experience or experience working in a client-facing consulting role.
- Ability to lead requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, and solution-design discussions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into Workday solutions.
- Knowledge of Workday security and role-based permissions.
- Experience collaborating with functional, technical, integration, data-conversion, and project-management teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, documentation, and client-relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a team-based consulting environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must successfully complete a standard background check.
Certification Requirements
- Workday Absence and Time Tracking certifications are required.
- Candidates who do not currently hold both certifications must be able to acquire the required certifications before onboarding is complete.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting full-cycle Workday implementations.
- Experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, reporting, integrations, or related functional areas.
- Experience supporting system testing, data conversion, deployment, and post-production stabilization.
- Previous involvement in Workday demonstrations, proposals, or other pre-sales activities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in helping grow and shape a Workday consulting practice.
Additional Details
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Standard 40-hour workweek.
- Interviews will be conducted with members of the management team.
- Position is available for an immediate start.
- Chicago is the most preferred location, followed by Dallas and Philadelphia.
