Workday Technical Consultant

Salary: £33,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong Workday technical expertise with experience in configuration, development, and solution design
• Experience in solution delivery, service management, and system support
• Knowledge of ITIL, change management, and architectural standards
• Experience managing Workday releases, development cycles, and service transitions into BAU support
• Experience overseeing 2nd and 3rd line support and resolving incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and working with cross-functional stakeholders
• Ability to coach and share knowledge within a technical team

Responsibilities:

• Act as our Workday technical expert, providing guidance on best-practice configuration, development, and solution design
• Lead the delivery of technical changes across our HR systems roadmap, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions
• Manage Workday releases, development cycles, and service transitions into BAU support
• Oversee 2nd and 3rd line support, ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed SLAs
• Drive system performance, security, governance, and adherence to ITIL, change management, and architectural standards
• Build capability within our HR Solutions team through coaching and knowledge sharing
• Manage third-party suppliers to support successful project delivery and technical expertise
• Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and business-focused People Systems solutions

We are hiring a Workday Technical Consultant for a leading client based in Cambridge, UK. This is a hybrid role with two days on site each week and a salary range of £60k to £90k depending on experience. You will support our People Systems landscape, working across Workday and related HR applications to ensure our systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. Our core HR platform includes Workday HCM, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Peakon, Learning, and VNDLY, alongside PageUp for recruitment.
