Workforce Experience Specialist
Workforce Experience Specialist
The Role
HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions) is applying its AI-first approach to building the systems and experiences that support its own teams, and this role sits at the center of that effort. As a Workforce Experience Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day employee experience at Hopper's Montreal headquarters, while contributing to the evolution of global HR operations through better systems, data, and automation. This is an opportunity to build workforce infrastructure for a global AI-powered company from the ground up, rather than maintaining a traditional HR function.
What your day-to-day will look like
-
Work in a hybrid mode, spending 1 to 2 days per week at the Hopper office located in downtown Montreal, in the Mile End, near the Rosemont metro station
-
Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding in collaboration with IT, payroll, talent acquisition, and hiring managers
-
Manage employee recognition programs, including Carrot Cash and other incentive initiatives
-
Plan engagement activities, social events, and workplace experiences that strengthen connections within the Montreal office
-
Oversee daily workplace operations, including facilities, vendor relations, mail, and office logistics
-
Coordinate WeWork memberships and workspace access
-
Produce recurring HR operations reports on attrition, onboarding and offboarding metrics, exit insights, and compensation cycle support
-
Create dashboards that turn employee feedback and operational data into actionable trends
-
Identify and implement opportunities to automate HR operations work using AI and other tools
-
Collaborate with HR operations, IT, payroll, talent acquisition, business systems, and finance teams to ensure seamless employee transitions
-
Act as the primary HR operations point of contact for Montreal-based employees and local vendors
The ideal candidate possesses
-
Native or near-native fluency in Québécois French and professional fluency in English, as you will support employees and vendors in both languages daily as the primary HR operations presence in Montreal
-
3 to 5 years of experience in HR operations, human resources, employee experience, or workplace operations, with a track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
-
An analytical mindset, using data (attrition trends, engagement feedback, process metrics) to guide decisions rather than simply reporting them
-
A genuine curiosity about AI, with an interest in applying tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n) to simplify HR operations work
-
Strong cross-departmental relationship skills, comfortable coordinating with IT, payroll, talent acquisition, and finance on key employee lifecycle moments
-
A continuous improvement mindset, actively seeking ways to reduce administrative friction rather than waiting to be asked
-
Asset: experience with HRIS platforms (Rippling, Workday, BambooHR) or supporting hybrid or globally distributed teams
This position requires proficiency in French and English. The successful candidate will need to communicate and collaborate regularly with colleagues, managers, clients, suppliers, and business partners located outside of Quebec, as well as consult, prepare, and use documentation, systems, and communications in French and English. Knowledge of English is therefore necessary for the performance of the duties related to the position as well as for meeting operational requirements and client needs in an international business environment.

Learn more about Hopper
At Hopper, our mission is to become the go-to travel platform globally — powering the Hopper mobile app and website, as well as our B2B division, HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions). By leveraging large volumes of data and cutting-edge machine learning algorithms, Hopper combines a top-tier travel agency offering with proprietary fintech products to provide transparency, flexibility, and savings to travelers around the world.
The Hopper platform serves hundreds of millions of travelers globally and continues to gain market share. The app has been downloaded over 120 million times and is particularly popular with young travelers — 70% of users belong to Gen Z and Millennials.
Although we are recognized as the travel app for Millennials and Gen Z, Hopper has evolved to become much more than that. In recent years, we have established ourselves as a travel fintech provider, commerce platform, and global travel agency serving some of the world's largest brands.
Through HTS, our B2B division, we amplify our partners' direct channels by integrating our fintech products into their platforms or powering end-to-end travel portals. Today, our partners include leading brands such as Capital One, Nubank, Air Canada, and many others.
Some figures illustrating the company's recent growth:
-
Billions of dollars in travel and travel fintech are sold each year via Hopper and HTS channels
-
Our fintech products — including Cancel for Any Reason and Flight Disruption Assistance — show exceptional customer satisfaction rates, thanks to clear terms and instant, no-questions-asked resolutions
-
Nearly 30% of our customers purchase at least one fintech product during a booking; and consumers are 1.6 times more likely to return if they have added a fintech product to their booking
-
Building on the success of its fintech products, Hopper launched the HTS B2B initiative, which now represents more than 75% of the business
-
Via HTS, any travel service provider (airlines, hotels, banks, travel agencies, etc.) can integrate and distribute Hopper's fintech products or travel inventory on their direct channels
