Working Student / Intern (f/m/d) - PR, Social Media & Strategic Communications GORE-TEX Brand

About the Role

We are currently seeking a working student / intern (f/m/d), starting as soon as possible in Putzbrunn, near Munich, to support our European PR team in developing and implementing PR, Social Media and communication strategies for the GORE-TEX Brand.

You will work on a wide range of topics and audiences and gain hands-on experience in the communications work of a global brand – from PR and Social Media to strategic projects and international campaigns.

For the working student position, you will be available for approximately 20 hours per week for 1 year or, ideally, longer. For the intern position, you are available full-time for 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of PR, Social Media and communication strategies for different B2B and B2C audiences
  • Contribute to international communication projects and campaigns, from initial ideas and topic planning to execution
  • Research topics and help develop stories, content ideas and communication formats for earned media and Social Media
  • Support the development of editorial and content plans and create or adapt content for different channels, including copy, briefings, presentations and Social Media content
  • Support media and Social Media monitoring as well as the analysis and evaluation of communication activities
  • Track relevant media, communication and Social Media trends and help identify new topics and opportunities
  • Work closely with our external PR and Social Media agencies and take on coordination and alignment tasks
  • Contribute to a dedicated Communications Benchmarking & Strategy Project: analyze how selected brands and companies approach PR, Social Media, content and strategic communications, identify trends and best practices, and help translate the findings into recommendations for our future communications
  • Be part of an international network of colleagues from PR, Marketing, Social Media, Events, Product Management and Sales

Qualifications

  • You are enrolled in a degree program related to communications, media, marketing, business or social sciences, such as Communication Studies, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Media Studies, Media Management, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, International Business, Journalism, Digital Media, Business Psychology, Sociology, Social Sciences, Political Science or a related field
  • You enjoy writing, researching and analyzing and have a good command of language in both German and English

  • You are curious about strategic communications and want to understand what makes communication effective – not just create content
  • You enjoy identifying trends, exploring new approaches and contributing your own ideas
  • You work in a structured, conscientious and independent manner
  • You are proficient in MS Office; experience with Social Media, editorial, monitoring or AI tools is a plus, but not required

That's what you've got to look forward to

  • Join a highly motivated team and a great working atmosphere
  • Gain hands-on experience in PR, Social Media and strategic communications for a global brand
  • Take responsibility for your own topics and contribute to an international communications benchmarking and strategy project
  • An interesting and challenging opportunity with an international focus
  • A very good compensation
  • An experienced Sponsor who will help you with advice and support
  • Sports activities, work-life balance, free coffee, tea and fruits, a subsidized canteen and more
