About the position

In this role, you will integrate auxiliary systems into test vehicles by fabricating custom wiring harnesses, designing mechanical prototypes & 3D-printed components. You will also perform deep-dive diagnostics and repairs on prototypes to drive development from concept to test-readiness.

What You Will Do

  • Support in the assembly, adaptation, and installation of prototype vehicles

  • Cutting, stripping, crimping, and preparing wiring harnesses

  • Routing, securing, and protecting cables in prototype vehicles

  • Support with modifications, repairs, and test setups of prototype wiring harnesses

  • Documentation of wiring harness modifications and wiring in prototype vehicles

  • Creation of prototype parts using 3D printers

  • Preparation of print jobs and post-processing of printed components (e.g., brackets, clips)

  • Software and configuration updates in prototype vehicles and their documentation

What You Need

  • Major in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or comparable engineering study

  • Understanding of vehicle networks such as CAN, Flex Ray Automotive ETH

  • Experience in modeling vehicle control actuators such as steering, braking, powertrain

  • Ability to comprehend E/E Architecture diagrams and compare against implementations

  • Fluent communication skills in English

  • Good Programming/Scripting skills

  • MS Office skills

  • Self-motivated individual with willingness to learn

  • Being curious and have enthusiasm for automated driving and ADAS

  • Driver’s license

What Makes You Eligible

  • Willingness to work onsite, up to 2 days per week in Harman office (Garching bei München) for in vehicle testing
