The Company

The company has been in operation for over 15 years and is one of Australia's fastest-growing leading height safety companies, specializing in auditing, system design, supply and installation, and continuous recertification and maintenance of height safety systems throughout the country. They have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, and Albury, and with their recent expansion, they are looking to add a Workplace Health & Safety / Project Admin to their team to support the continuing expansion of their operations across the Australian eastern seaboard.

The Position

In this position, you will be in charge of the company’s IMS and WHS system/ documentation. Further, you’ll be tasked with providing on-going support for the Project team, including but not limited to admin and on-site WHS support. To fulfill your role, you will be required to work closely with the Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Management team. The position will be based in Albury, and there will be a requirement for some travel and working away.

Job Responsibilities:

•Maintain the Workplace Health and Safety Management System and Integrated Management System.

•Conduct safety toolbox talks, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, identify corrective action, and implement follow-up.

•Plan, implement, and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.

•Provide the project management team with guidance on health and safety regulations.

•Provide site-specific Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) and Job Safety Analysis (JAS) support to project managers.

•Ability to work under multiple Project Managers while meeting WHS requirements/ deadlines for various projects when required.

•Promote healthy and safe working methods and practices in the workplace.

•Ensuring health and safety compliance across the whole organisation.

•Identifying, recording, and reporting hazards, accidents, injuries, and health issues.

•Assisting with the investigation of accidents, studying possible causes, and providing remedial advice.

•Assisting with the rehabilitation of workers after accidents and overseeing their successful return to work.

•Inspecting workplace and related tools and equipment to ensure compliance with regulations.


The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following:

•Certificate IV in WHS or more than 5 years in a WHS role

•Ability to work across State Health and Safety Legislation

•Excellent communication, meeting, presentation, and advisory skills

•Ability to conduct incident investigation and reporting

•Administrative policies and procedures

•Knowledge of project controls

•Conflict management and problem-solving skills

•Excellent attention to detail and produce work of high-quality

•Proficient in MS Office

•Experience in Injury Management and Workers’ Compensation

•General understanding of ISO45001, ISO9001 and ISO14001
