Job Summary
Assist the project manager in identifying and remedying unsafe conditions and practices on site by implementing effective EHS measures and promoting a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct EHS inspections, toolbox meetings, and briefings regularly to ensure site safety compliance
- Implement EHS programmes on construction sites to maintain safety standards
- Advise site staff on EHS matters to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols
- Perform daily physical inspections of work environments and tools to identify hazards
- Ensure compliance with relevant EHS legislation and company safety procedures
- Implement and enforce new EHS measures issued by management promptly
- Promote safe conduct among workers to reduce workplace incidents
- Identify and rectify unsafe conditions and correct unsafe work practices immediately
- Verify that all workers comply with the company’s EHS procedures and practices consistently
- Oversee rectification works to ensure they are completed and maintained effectively
- Train workers on safe work methods to enhance site safety culture
- Maintain a safe workplace environment including housekeeping, lighting, and ventilation
- Enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) among all site personnel
