Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Permit-to-Work (PTW) Management: Issue and strictly enforce PTW systems for high-risk activities including hot work, hacking, heavy lifting, and working at heights.

  • Demolition Method Statement Enforcement: Ensure the site team strictly follows the approved engineering sequence, load-bearing support installations, and dismantling steps.

  • Daily Site Inspections: Conduct rigorous site walks to check scaffolding, debris chutes, dust suppression systems, and proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Toolbox Meetings: Lead daily morning briefings focusing specifically on structural risks, heavy equipment pathways, and falling object hazards.

  • Incident Reporting: Investigate all near-misses and accidents, prepare detailed root-cause reports, and implement immediate corrective actions.

  • To perform any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time.

Education & Certifications:

  • Valid WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B) or equivalent MOM-recognized qualification.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of safety experience specifically within demolition, heavy structural hacking, or deep excavation projects.
