Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator
Summary
Oversee workplace safety and health at construction sites by inspecting conditions, enforcing regulations, and training workers to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with local laws.
- Identify any unsafe condition or unsafe act carried out on the work site.
- Liaise with different departments on all safety and health matters.
- Conduct regular site inspections and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with the WSH Act, subsidiary legislation, project specifications.
- Enforce all WSH requirements and in-house rules and regulations.
- Assist in investigating and reporting accidents/ incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct training/ meeting/ briefing/ time-out to the workforce.
- Review Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and Permit-to-Work documentation.
- Follow up on submission of SHE documents.
- Monitor the SHE performance in the work site.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) – Level B
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
