Job Summary

Enforce workplace safety and health standards across semiconductor piping construction sites, conducting inspections, risk assessments, and safety training to ensure full compliance with WSH regulations and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and WSH non-compliances, and recommend corrective actions to supervisors.
• Perform risk assessments and review safe work procedures (SWP) for piping installation activities in semiconductor facilities.
• Act as a safety assessor under the Permit-To-Work (PTW) system, endorsing permits and verifying compliance before work commences.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, and safety briefings for workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate WSH incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and propose preventive measures.
• Maintain WSH documentation, records, and checklists in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Monitor and enforce cleanroom protocols, high-purity piping safety standards, and hazardous material handling procedures.
• Authorize suspension of unsafe work operations and coordinate with Project EHS Manager on corrective action plans.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written forms to train workers, report to management, and liaise with stakeholders.

Required competencies and certifications

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health from an approved MOM training provider
• Managing Work at Height Certificate
• Risk Management Course completion
• At least 2 years of relevant WSH working experience, preferably in the construction or semiconductor industry
• Familiarity with Singapore WSH legislation, construction safety requirements, and cleanroom protocols
