Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator
Summary
Oversee workplace safety and health at construction sites by enforcing policies, inspecting hazards, and ensuring compliance with Singapore’s WSH regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and maintaining Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures and practices at the workplace.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and unsafe work practices.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with applicable WSH regulations and safety requirements.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures.
- Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and safety awareness activities.
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment and workplace safety measures.
- Assist in investigating workplace incidents, accidents and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports and other relevant documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and relevant stakeholders on workplace safety matters.
- Follow up on safety observations and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
- Perform other workplace safety and health-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Relevant qualifications or certification in Workplace Safety and Health.
- Relevant working experience in workplace safety and health, preferably within the construction industry.
- Good knowledge of applicable WSH regulations, safety procedures and industry practices in Singapore.
- Familiar with risk assessment, hazard identification and workplace safety inspections.
- Good organizational, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Able to maintain proper safety documentation and records.
- Able to work independently and effectively with project teams and relevant stakeholders.
