Workplace Safety and Health Officer

Summary

Oversee workplace safety programs, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with Singapore’s WSH regulations for a local safety consultancy.

Job Description

  • Implement and maintain Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management systems.
  • Conduct site safety inspections and audits.
  • Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
  • Review and update Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Method Statements (MS).
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports.
  • Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and other statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor high-risk activities and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills and exercises.

Requirements

  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer(WSHO) with MOM.
  • Specialist Diploma in WSH or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant site safety experience.
  • Good knowledge of WSH legislation and Singapore Codes of Practice.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
