Workplace Safety and Health Officer
Summary
Oversee workplace safety programs, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with Singapore’s WSH regulations for a local safety consultancy.
Job Description
- Implement and maintain Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management systems.
- Conduct site safety inspections and audits.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
- Review and update Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Method Statements (MS).
- Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports.
- Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and other statutory requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor high-risk activities and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
- Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills and exercises.
Requirements
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer(WSHO) with MOM.
- Specialist Diploma in WSH or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant site safety experience.
- Good knowledge of WSH legislation and Singapore Codes of Practice.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
