Summary

Oversee workplace safety, health, and environmental compliance at construction sites by conducting inspections, risk assessments, and policy enforcement to meet statutory obligations.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Workplace Safety & Health and Environment Management Systems at work sites.
  • Conduct regular WSH inspections and follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance
  • Ensure all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
  • Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
  • Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipments and operations.
  • Ensure all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
  • Coordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
  • Inspect project sites to ensure safety measure are being carried out at all times.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer, preferably with LTA or building & construction projects.
  • Certifications in Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
  • Possess good communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be responsible, organized, and self-initiated.
  • Respect for deadlines, sense of urgency.
