Oversee workplace safety and health compliance on construction sites in Singapore by conducting inspections, enforcing regulations, and investigating incidents.
Job Description
- Ensure full compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, Ministry of Manpower (MOM), and National Environment Agency (NEA) regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections and comprehensive risk assessments
- Identify potential hazards and implement effective corrective and preventive measures
- Enforce safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices across all site activities
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports with recommendations
- Lead safety briefings, toolbox meetings
- Maintain accurate safety records, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear
- Liaise with Project Managers, supervisors, and relevant authorities on safety matters
- Monitor and supervise high-risk activities, including lifting operations and work at height operations
Job Requirements
- Relevant experience in construction industry preferred
- Good knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and enforcement ability
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Able to work on-site and handle multiple locations if required
- A MOM registered Safety Officer
