About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and proactive Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer to oversee safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture for a Cable Transmission Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all site activities comply with Singapore WSH regulations and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) policies and procedures on-site
- Ensure full compliance with the Singapore WSH Act and relevant regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor and ensure subcontractors comply with safety requirements
- Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports
- Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and training sessions
- Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g. MOM) when required
- Maintain proper documentation of safety records, permits, and reports
- Promote continuous improvement in safety practices and awareness
Requirements
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM (mandatory)
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or related discipline
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects
- Experience in cable transmission or utility projects will be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and practices
- Good communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment
