Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) - Jurong

Responsibilities

  • Conduct workplace safety audits across various sites and deliver detailed reports with actionable recommendations to improve safety standards
  • Provide secretarial support and actively participate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) committee meetings to facilitate effective communication and compliance
  • Advise management and teams on risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and WSH best practices to mitigate workplace hazards
  • Investigate workplace incidents thoroughly and submit comprehensive investigation reports with findings and corrective actions
  • Respond to emergency safety issues within 2 hours and address non-urgent safety concerns within 2 working days to minimize risks
  • Perform additional ad-hoc safety audits as required to maintain continuous safety oversight
  • Maintain and update compliance documentation, including legal registers, to ensure adherence to WSH regulations and standards
  • Apply knowledge of WSH management systems, specifically SS ISO 45001:2018, to support organizational safety frameworks

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
  • Registration with Ministry of Manpower (MOM) as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
