Job Description

• Conduct regular WSH inspections at project sites, work premises, stores and company facilities.
• Travel between multiple work locations to monitor activities and ensure compliance with WSH legislation, company procedures and client requirements.
• Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and non-compliance, and follow up with project teams on corrective actions.
• Stop or escalate work activities where there is an immediate risk to workers or members of the public.
• Prepare inspection reports, observations, photographs and follow-up records.
• Prepare and review Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, Permit-to-Work documents, Emergency Response Plans, Fall Prevention Plans and Lifting Plans.
• Prepare safety submissions and supporting documents required by clients.
• Facilitate mass toolbox meetings and conduct safety briefings, induction programmes, incident sharing and site-specific briefings.
• Monitor high-risk activities involving work at height, confined spaces, lifting operations, excavation, roadworks, traffic control, manhole works, underground utilities, machinery and mobile equipment.
• Liaise with clients, project teams, workers, supervisors and subcontractors on WSH inspections, documentation, observations and corrective actions.
• Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, near misses and road traffic accidents, including preparing reports and tracking corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain WSH records, training records, inspection reports, equipment certificates and other relevant documentation.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 22301 management systems.
• Assist with internal audits, external certification audits, client audits and regulatory inspections.
• Support emergency drills, safety campaigns and other company WSH initiatives.
• Attend night inspections, weekend activities and emergency site matters when operationally required.
• Support full-time WSH deployment at project sites when required by the client or project.
• Perform other WSH-related duties assigned by the WSH Manager.

Requirements

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
• Risk Management Level 2 – Risk Management Implementation Plan certification.
• Confined Space Safety Assessor certification.
• Managing Work at Height certification.
• Lifting Supervisor Safety certification.
• Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSS) certification.
• At least 2 years of relevant WSH experience, preferably in construction, telecommunications, civil engineering, utilities or roadworks.
• Familiar with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health legislation and industry requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare safety reports, documentation and presentation materials.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the confidence to conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple work locations and follow up effectively with project teams.
• Willing to travel frequently and work outside normal office hours, including nights and weekends, when required.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor and site environments.
• Possess a valid Singapore Class 2B and/or Class 3 driving licence.
• Possession of own vehicle is preferred due to the need to travel between multiple project sites; transport allowance provided.
• Experience in telecommunications, underground services, roadworks, manhole works or civil construction will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with client-specific safety requirements and ISO management systems will be advantageous.
