• Staffing and safety of team and environment
• Achievement of team financial targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
• Effective control of team expenses and Work-in-Progress
• Leading a team to provide efficient Earthmoving Equipment component salvage techniques to meet OEM repair requirements.
• Apply Warranty policies and procedures including warranty decisions and Service Warranty investigations.
• Effective relationship building with external and internal customers, hold regular meetings to resolve issues and queries.
• Ensure outputs of Service Audits are achieved.
• Reporting of team KPI’s and prospects. Improve efficiency as you expand your salvage business in line with commercial opportunities.
• Ensure effective self-management and performance ownership.
• Maintain and ensure high focus on safety, quality, and contamination control standards and procedures.
• Control the entire engineering workshop process.
• Update the business on all recent developments and changes that will be advantageous to the company.
• Maintain effective communication between the team and management.
• Proactively communicate with the principal to resolve problems and issues and to build relationships in the future.
• Open relationships conducive to collaborative problem solving.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Grade 12/ Matric
• Qualified turner machinist /auto motive machinist and / or Applicable Engineering Degree
• Minimum 8 years Management experience with a team in running an engineering workshop.
• Good knowledge of engineering principles with focus on earthmoving equipment components.
• Further studies within this field will be an advantage.
• Prior experience in HVOF, ARC spray, CNC
• Sound business communication skills (Negotiation; Presentation, etc.)
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Show initiative by thinking creatively.
• High level of computer literacy with focus on Microsoft and engineering programs.
• Financials for non-financial managers
• Exposure to business planning / budgeting processes.
• People management skills and experience
