Wound Care Nurse (LPN/RN)
Job Summary Ascend Medical is hiring experienced Wound Care Nurses (LPN or RN) to support our growing wound care program across Northeast Georgia. This is a traveling, home to home role supporting multiple regions. The ideal candidate brings strong wound care expertise, comfort working independently, and a patient-first mindset. You will assess, treat, and manage complex wounds while collaborating with providers and clinical teams to improve healing outcomes and patient quality of life.
Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (Part-time, Full-Time)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive wound and patient health assessments
- Develop and implement individualized wound care plans
- Perform wound treatments, dressing changes, and topical applications
- Monitor healing progress and identify signs of infection or complications
- Educate patients and families on wound care and prevention
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to coordinate care
- Document assessments, treatments, and progress in the EMR
- Travel between designated clinic locations within the territory
- Stay current on wound care best practices and clinical guidelines
