Summary

Ensure construction sites comply with safety laws by conducting risk assessments, enforcing regulations, and delivering safety training as a certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer.

  • Perform statutory Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) duties to ensure compliance with safety laws and regulations
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for construction projects to identify hazards and implement mitigation measures
  • Enforce safety regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment for employees and subcontractors
  • Organize and deliver safety training programs tailored for company and subcontractor employees to enhance safety awareness and compliance
  • Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) controls and processes in alignment with company policies and government regulations
  • Conduct regular site inspections and lead safety meetings to monitor and improve safety performance
  • Investigate accidents thoroughly and prepare incident reports as required to prevent recurrence
  • Promote Good Governance and Best Safety (GGBS) practices and support ISO-related activities to uphold quality and safety standards

Required competencies and certifications

  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with a minimum of three years of site experience

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum three years of experience in MRT, tunnel, or highway construction projects
  • Familiarity with ISO documentation and standards
  • Ability to work independently with a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
