Job Descriptions
- Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety and health policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure proper implementation of control measures to manage identified risks.
- Maintain and update the Risk Assessment Register.
- Organize and conduct safety training sessions and toolbox meetings for employees and contractors.
- Promote a culture of safety through awareness campaigns and engagement initiatives.
- Ensure all workers are adequately informed about emergency procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) and other relevant regulations.
- Prepare and submit mandatory safety reports to authorities in a timely manner.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct regular emergency drills and exercises.
- Ensure proper maintenance and availability of emergency equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Prepare detailed safety reports and present findings to management.
- Monitor and track safety performance indicators.
Requirement
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- WSH Officer certification recognized by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) Singapore.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in workplace safety and health management, preferably in construction projects.
