WSH Officer

Job Descriptions


  • Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensure proper implementation of control measures to manage identified risks.
  • Maintain and update the Risk Assessment Register.
  • Organize and conduct safety training sessions and toolbox meetings for employees and contractors.
  • Promote a culture of safety through awareness campaigns and engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure all workers are adequately informed about emergency procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) and other relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and submit mandatory safety reports to authorities in a timely manner.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Conduct regular emergency drills and exercises.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and availability of emergency equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
  • Prepare detailed safety reports and present findings to management.
  • Monitor and track safety performance indicators.

Requirement

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field.
    • WSH Officer certification recognized by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) Singapore.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in workplace safety and health management, preferably in construction projects.
