WSH Officer(Integrated / Mixed-use Community Development)
Job Description
- Implement and monitor the project WSH Management System and ensure compliance with MOM, WSH Act and project safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe work practices and potential hazards.
- Review and monitor Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and Method Statements for construction activities.
- Monitor high-risk works including excavation, ERSS, piling, lifting operations, work at height, structural works, façade works and M&E installation.
- Coordinate WSH requirements among main contractors, subcontractors, consultants and specialist contractors across multiple work fronts.
- Monitor traffic and pedestrian management, ensuring safe segregation between construction vehicles, workers, pedestrians and the public.
- Ensure public and third-party safety around residential, commercial, community facilities and other areas affected by construction activities.
- Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and worker inductions, and promote a strong WSH culture among workers and supervisors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, recommend corrective actions and follow up on the closure of safety issues.
- Prepare WSH reports and maintain safety records, including inspection reports, RA/SWP, training records, incident reports and audit findings.
Requirements
- Registered WSH Officer with MOM and possess a valid WSH Officer registration.
- Minimum 3–5 years of Singapore construction experience, preferably in Integrated Development, Mixed-use, Condominium, Commercial or large-scale Building projects.
- Strong knowledge of WSH regulations, Risk Assessment (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Permit-to-Work and Singapore construction safety requirements.
- Experience in high-risk construction activities, including excavation/ERSS, lifting, structural works, work at height, façade and M&E works.
- Good experience in subcontractor and multi-work-front coordination, including traffic management and public safety within active construction environments.
- Good communication, inspection and reporting skills, with the ability to conduct safety briefings, investigate incidents and follow up on corrective actions.
