Summary
Lead a backend team at Wix's Viewer group that builds the SSR infrastructure rendering 250+ million sites, running Scala and Node.js services handling over 1 million RPM of public traffic. The role combines people management, technical leadership, and hands-on design of highly scalable distributed systems, fully on-site in Tel Aviv.
As a Team Lead at Viewer, you'll lead the development of the infrastructure that renders 250+ million Wix sites with the highest SLA and speed worldwide. You'll oversee the creation of one of the busiest Scala and Node.js services at Wix, handling over 1 million RPM. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our Server Side Rendering (SSR) processes are efficient and scalable.
In your day-to-day, you will:
• Lead the team responsible for managing all of Wix’s public traffic (> 1 million RPM)
• Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
• Design, develop, and lead major features
• Maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits
• Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain extraordinary features
• Solve challenging problems in complex business flows with creative solutions
