Xperience by Kentico Developer / .NET Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Xperience by Kentico (XbyK) Developer / .NET Developer to join our growing digital solutions team. This role is ideal for a developer who combines strong ASP.NET Core expertise with hands-on experience delivering enterprise websites, digital experiences, and content management solutions using Xperience by Kentico.

You will work closely with project managers, designers, content editors, marketers, and stakeholders to design and deliver scalable, user-friendly digital platforms. This position requires someone who understands not only software development, but also how content editors and marketing teams interact with modern CMS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain solutions built on Xperience by Kentico

• Implement and customise websites, content models, email channels, and content management functionality

• Configure and extend Page Builder, widgets, page templates, and editor experiences

• Develop ASP.NET Core applications using modern architectural patterns and best practices

• Build reusable and maintainable front-end components using Razor Views and Razor Components

• Develop integrations with external systems and APIs where required

• Support content modelling, localisation strategies, taxonomies, and content governance approaches

• Collaborate with marketing and content teams to optimise editor experiences and digital campaigns

• Participate in solution design, technical estimation, architecture discussions, and delivery planning

• Troubleshoot performance, content retrieval, and platform-related issues

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes

Essential Skills & Experience

ASP.NET Core / .NET Development

• Strong commercial experience with ASP.NET Core and C#

• Experience with dependency injection, middleware, configuration management, and the options pattern

• Experience developing MVC, Razor Pages, or Blazor applications

• Solid understanding of software design principles and development best practices

Xperience by Kentico

• Hands-on experience developing websites using Xperience by Kentico

• Experience configuring and managing:

  • Website and email channels

  • Content types and content modelling

  • Content tree routing

  • Page Builder

  • Widget development

  • Page templates

  • Admin customisation and configuration

• Understanding of editor workflows and content management processes

SQL Server

• Strong working knowledge of SQL Server

• Understanding of schema design and content storage structures

• Ability to troubleshoot retrieval and performance-related issues

Front-End Development

• Experience building editable page experiences using:

  • Razor Views and Components

  • Widgets and templates

  • HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Ability to create intuitive and flexible editing experiences for content authors

Highly Desirable Skills

Digital Marketing & Email Experience

• Experience configuring and supporting:

  • Contacts and marketing activities

  • Email channels

  • Contact segmentation

  • Subscription management

  • Email tracking and reporting

Xperience by Kentico SaaS & Cloud

• Experience with:

  • Cloud environments and deployment processes

  • Environment configuration management

  • SendGrid integration

  • Storage configuration

  • CI/CD pipelines for Xperience by Kentico Cloud deployments

Content Architecture

• Experience designing scalable content models

Identity & Security

• Experience implementing:

  • Membership functionality

  • Roles and permissions

  • Authentication and authorisation

  • Administrative security controls

• Microsoft Azure experience, including:
