Full-Time Lumber Yard Associate

$17–$19 per hour DOE

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Lumber Yard Associate to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, helping customers, and being part of a fast-paced building materials environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to retail and contractor customers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lumber yard
• Replenish inventory and stock materials as needed
• Load and unload building materials
• Assist customers with locating and selecting products
• Operate forklifts and other yard equipment safely

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Vocational School Graduate
• Ability to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English
• Knowledge of building materials, lumber, hardware, or related industries preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Must obtain forklift certification
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Work Environment

This position works primarily outdoors in a lumber yard environment and may involve:

• Exposure to varying weather conditions and temperature extremes
• Exposure to noise, dust, and vehicular fumes
• Frequent lifting, carrying, and physical activity
