YARD & MAINTENANCE SUPPORT
Job Title: Yard / Maintenance - Tulare
Job Function: Keep it Clean. Maintain the appearance and assist with the organization of the Store/Yard and equipment display.
Reporting Relationships: You report directly to the Service Manager and the General Manager. You have a functional relationship with the Parts Manager, Sales Staff, and Office personnel.
Responsibility: As Yard/Maintenance you are responsible for keeping the store looking good and the equipment clean and arranged. You are also in charge of monitoring equipment coming and going.
Principal Duties: The principal duties of the Yard/Maintenance position consist of, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to work hard at all times.
- Safety: Safely loading and unloading trucks while checking for accuracy and damage.
- Checking all equipment in and out. Verifying serial numbers, etc.
- Completing DAR’s and inspections on all new equipment arrivals.
- Performing PDI’s as assigned by the Service Manager.
- Repair of Mules/RTVs as assigned by the Service Manager.
- Setup and detailing of equipment as assigned by the Service Manager.
- Keeping equipment clean and arranged in the yard with an appealing display.
- Keeping GT vehicles clean as assigned by the Service Manager.
- Keeping the property maintained. Weeds sprayed and removed. Clutter and trash removed, etc.
- Stock and maintain clean restrooms.
- Stock and maintain clean breakroom.
- Empty trash inside/outside – breakdown cardboard daily.
- Maintain drinking and water coolers.
- Sweep and mop floors weekly – to include Shop.
- Clean steam rack weekly.
- Clean windows monthly.
- Stay current with Forklift Certifications.
- On occasion, you may need to run an errand or make a delivery (at the discretion of management).
- All other duties as assigned by various managers.
Standards and Measurement of Performance: You will meet or exceed your expectations when the following occur:
- Your attendance is punctual, and you show up ready to go to work with a good attitude.
- Damaged goods and shortages are identified upon delivery and noted on the BOL.
- Equipment transfers are processed without errors. The paperwork is turned in.
- The equipment inventory is neatly aligned and clean. The display area is kept full.
- The property always looks good. The lot is swept and there is no trash or clutter about.
- You willingly fill-in to help in other areas when the need arises and when assigned by your Service Manager.
- Fulfilling the described responsibilities, duties, and Company policies and procedures.
