We're Hiring a Yard & Warehouse Supervisor in our Brian Fallon Hardware Branch located in Longford.

The Yard & Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Yard and Warehouse Operations, in addition to customer deliveries, checking accuracy of picked orders, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements for stock receipting, ordering and returns, and maintaining a high level of security in the branch.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delegate tasks and responsibilities within the Yard and Warehouse team to ensure a safe, efficient and effective service at all times.

• Coordinate cycle counts as per the company procedures, and resolving all anomalies within reason prior to reporting these to the Manager.

• Coordinate customer deliveries, creating a schedule and communicating any changes to customers in a timely manner.

• Organise for orders to be picked as per the schedule requirements.

• Check the accuracy of picked orders against the delivery docket prior to the delivery leaving the branch, rectifying any anomalies to maximise On Time In Full (OTIF) deliveries as a priority.

• Check outgoing lorry deliveries to ensure all picked items match the docket.

• Ensure every customer vehicle is checked prior to leaving the yard, verifying the purchases against paperwork issued.

• Note any items with low stock levels and report this to the Manger.

• Ensure stock levels within your purchasing area (e.g. blocks and gravel etc) are sufficiently stocked at all times.

• Ensure that all POD’s are scanned on to the system.

• To receipt all goods inwards, checking accuracy of the delivery against the initial order and resolving any anomalies.

• To investigate and perform supplier returns and supplier claims.

• To develop strong relationships with existing and new customers.

• To effectively identify customers’ needs in order to maximise all sales opportunities and ensure the products are ordered if not currently in stock.

• To ensure the yard and warehouse is inviting to all customers at all times.

• Manage incoming and outgoing traffic, direct traffic within the site where needed, ensuring no dangerous parking or any parking at the barrier. Ensure all goods inward off-loading occurs only in the designated loading bay.

• To attend training and coaching, to assist your Manager in upholding the standards set by James McMahon Ltd.

• Be fully trained and certified in the operation of a fork-truck
