Position: Early Learning DirectorLocation: YMCA Silver Spring
The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking an experienced Early Learning Director to lead our preschool program at YMCA Silver Spring. In this role, you’ll oversee program quality, develop a strong team of educators, and build meaningful relationships with children and families.
We’re looking for a collaborative, mission-driven leader who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a high-quality, nurturing learning environment.
What You’ll Do

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of early childhood educators.
Ensure high-quality learning experiences that support children’s growth and development.
Build enrollment and strengthen family engagement through tours and community partnerships.
Oversee daily operations, program quality, and licensing compliance.
Partner with families to support each child’s learning journey.
Manage program performance and budgets in collaboration with branch leadership.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
At least 3 years of leadership experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
Strong knowledge of child development and childcare licensing requirements.
Experience managing staff, program operations, and performance.
Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
