Youth Care Professional (YCP) – Caminos Program
Fluency in English and Spanish required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with youth or adolescents in a social services, child welfare, or similar setting required.

- Sunday–Wednesday: 10:00 PM–8:00 AM
FE 2nd Shift
- Sunday: 9:00 AM–10:30 PM
- Monday: 2:30 PM–10:30 PM
- Tuesday: 2:30 PM–10:30 PM
- Wednesday: 12:00 PM–10:30 PM
BE 2nd Shift
- Wednesday: 12:00 PM–10:30 PM
- Thursday: 2:30 PM–10:30 PM
- Friday: 2:30 PM–10:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM–10:30 PM
Schedules may vary based on program needs. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Weekend, holiday, and inclement-weather coverage may be required.
Make a Difference Every Day
As a Youth Care Professional (YCP) at Everstand, you’ll provide direct care, supervision, and support to youth in a trauma-informed residential setting.
You’ll build trusting relationships, create a safe and structured environment, and help young people develop the skills they need to heal and thrive. You’ll work closely with clinical, education, and medical professionals as part of a supportive team.
This is meaningful work for someone who is compassionate, patient, resilient, and comfortable working with youth in challenging or emotionally intense situations.
What You’ll Do
- Provide direct care, supervision, and support to youth.
- Build positive, professional, and youth-guided relationships.
- Support daily routines, hygiene, meals, activities, education, and life skills.
- Promote a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment.
- Use trained crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques when needed.
- Support behavioral and treatment plans developed by the clinical team.
- Participate in individual and group activities that build communication, social, and life skills.
- Complete required documentation and communicate effectively with team members.
- Transport youth to appointments and activities when needed.
- Support family engagement and other program activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment.
- Follow all confidentiality, safety, HIPAA, mandated reporting, and organizational requirements.
You will receive training in crisis intervention, medication administration, First Aid/CPR, and other required areas.

What You Bring
Required
- High school diploma, GED, or AA.
- At least 1 year of employment experience working with children/youth or adolescents in child welfare, social services, or a similar setting.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends, holidays, and inclement weather when needed.
- Ability to work effectively in an emotionally intense and sometimes unpredictable environment.
- Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, TB screening, and work-readiness requirements.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related human services field.
- Experience in youth services, behavioral health, residential care, or trauma-informed settings.
- Experience supporting youth impacted by child welfare or other human services systems.
Certifications
Employees must obtain and maintain required certifications, which may include:
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)
- First Aid/CPR
- Medication Administration
- RCYCP certification (Maryland)
- ORR Suitability Determination, when required for the position
