Summary
Supervises staff at a youth shelter serving young adults ages 16-21, ensuring program operations run efficiently, providing direct supervision to Youth Care Specialists, and coordinating staff scheduling to support youth with independent living and mental health goals.
Steppingstone – Kansas City a program of Every Child’s Hope, provides shelter and transitional living services to youth ages 16 – 21 by delivering highly individualized transitional and independent living services. The Steppingstone program helps older teens and young adults work toward personal goals, build life skills, and learn how to care for their own mental and physical health. The ultimate goal is to provide them with the tools needed to successfully transition into the life they want and deserve.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to active involvement in program development, ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently and effectively, provide direct supervision, and support to Youth Care Specialist staff, and ensure youth service/treatment plan objectives are implemented and documented in timely manner, and coordinate and manage the YCS staff scheduling.
