Youth Development Professional - Part Week (2-4 Days/Week, M-F)
Class: Non-Exempt, Part Time
Hourly Rate: $19.00/ Hour
Hours: Up to 29 hours/week
Schedule: Must be available 2-4 days/M-F:

2 days/M-F: Arrive to site 30 minutes prior to school dismissal and work until 6:00pm

3-4 days/M-F: Arrive to site 30 minutes prior to school dismissal and work until 6:00pm; two days per week, can arrive to site by school dismissal and cannot leave earlier than 5:30pm
Location: One of BGCGG’s various ASES/ASSETs sites
Primary Function: Develops and implements programs and services that align with the organization’s mission, vision and philosophies as well as grant and GGUSD guidelines. Serves as a role model for youth and establishes meaningful relationships that will encourage and motivate youth participation.
Communication

Utilizes walkie-talkies to communicate with team

Redirects member behaviors using BGCGG behavior system (Be Great Traits)

Ensures supplies list is created and submitted with monthly calendar by assigned date

Report any hazardous and defective equipment to supervisor

Ensures members are recognized with positive reinforcement (i.e. Be Great Traits, Members of the Month)

Utilize attention getters during announcements
Supervision
-
Sign-in members at school dismissal
-
Support with sign-out procedures at the end of programming day (Checking for authorized pick-up, getting corrections for missing information on attendance sheets and signing off on attendance sheets)

Transition members through program pieces by leading them in a line

Maintain active supervision of assigned class within ratio guidelines

Applies appropriate behavior management techniques when dealing with member discipline

Monitor youth and keep within eye- sight range by walking around in all program space

Handles safety incidents by providing first aide and completes incident reporting

Participate in safety drills

Create a classroom recognition system for Power Hour class

Supervise members during snack time and assists with snack process (clicking and checking for complete snack items)
