ROLE OVERVIEW
The Youth Empowerment Specialist provides strengths-based mentoring and behavioral health support to children, teens and families in home, community, and recreational settings. The position promotes engagement, coping skills, and social-emotional growth aligned with treatment goals, safety plans, and Pathway’s trauma-informed framework. Specialist is expected to deliver services as an extension of Pathway’s mission and within Pathway’s 7 core values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Direct Service may include:
- Engage youth in therapeutic, skill-building, or recreational activities.
- Provide supervision and transportation according to case and safety plans.
- Model positive behavior and supportive adult relationships.
- Implement behavior support strategies with input from the clinical team.
Family and Team Collaboration
- Communicate regularly with parent/guardian and treatment team members.
- Support youth and families during transitions, appointments, and as-needed relief.
- Coordinate with therapists, case managers, and the Support Services Manager to ensure consistency.
Documentation and Accountability
- Record service time, observations, and critical incidents accurately and on time.
- Complete all required logs and summaries per agency standards.
Professional Expectations
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Attend supervision, training, and team meetings.
- Communicate availability and scheduling changes promptly.

• Schedule: Based on client need; part-time, flexible hours required
