Youth Worker
Job Description:
- Engage and provide pastoral care and guidance to students.
- Support students involved in disciplinary cases and monitor their well-being.
- Build positive relationships with at-risk students and identify early behavioural concerns.
- Implement and support student safety and intervention plans.
- Facilitate restorative conversations and support corrective counselling.
- Work closely with the Student Development Team (SDT) and Case Management Team (CMT).
- Attend case meetings and coordinate student support plans.
- Collaborate with parents, external agencies, and social service partners when required.
- Encourage students to develop self-management and take responsibility for their behaviour.
Requirements:
- Diploma, Degree, or Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification full-time social work experience in Singapore.
- At least 1 year of experience in pastoral care, mentoring, or youth/student support.
- Experience in student assessment, intervention, case planning, and goalsetting.
- Ability to collaborate with community agencies and support networks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive cases professionally.
- Familiarity with restorative practices and case management is preferred.
