Youth Worker

Job Description:

  • Engage and provide pastoral care and guidance to students.
  • Support students involved in disciplinary cases and monitor their well-being.
  • Build positive relationships with at-risk students and identify early behavioural concerns.
  • Implement and support student safety and intervention plans.
  • Facilitate restorative conversations and support corrective counselling.
  • Work closely with the Student Development Team (SDT) and Case Management Team (CMT).
  • Attend case meetings and coordinate student support plans.
  • Collaborate with parents, external agencies, and social service partners when required.
  • Encourage students to develop self-management and take responsibility for their behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Diploma, Degree, or Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of post-qualification full-time social work experience in Singapore.
  • At least 1 year of experience in pastoral care, mentoring, or youth/student support.
  • Experience in student assessment, intervention, case planning, and goalsetting.
  • Ability to collaborate with community agencies and support networks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive cases professionally.
  • Familiarity with restorative practices and case management is preferred.
