Youth Worker
Job Description
- Plan and conduct life skills, behavioural skills, and emotional regulation programmes for students.
- Provide group and individual support based on students' needs.
- Build positive relationships and support students'social and emotional development.
- Work closely with the school's Special EducationalNeeds Officer (SENO), teachers, and school counsellor.
- Support students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs)where applicable.
- Maintain session records and prepare progressreports.
- Follow the school's child safeguarding policies and report any welfare concerns.
- Ensure programmes are tailored to students' developmental needs
Requirements
- Registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore.
- Minimum Diploma in Youth Work, Social Work, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children or youths with Special Educational Needs (SEN), especially those with Intellectual Disability(ID), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or ADHD.
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support and trauma-informed practices is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
