Youth Worker #Yishun

Hours: Mon & Wed 10:00am–6:00pm; Tue & Thu 8:00am–4:00pm; Fri 8:00am–12:30pm

Key Roles

• Act as first point of contact for incidents during curriculum time

• Conduct initial assessments of students' needs and well-being

• Implement immediate de-escalation strategies

• Support students during meltdowns to re-integrate back to class

• Build trust and rapport with students

• Conduct proactive outreach to students needing support (e.g., truancy, isolation, peer issues)

• Provide long-term check-in and support after disciplinary incidents

• Provide progress reports to SH/SWB; escalate critical concerns to HOD/SM or SH/SM

• Work closely with school staff to relay information (no direct parent contact)

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, or related Social Science field

• At least 1 year of relevant working experience

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
