Summary

Zenitary, a wellness e-commerce brand, is hiring a software engineering intern to improve its online store, continue building its guided meditation/wellness app, and add AI and automation. Day-to-day work involves web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript), the Base44 platform, and ecommerce integrations. Remote, $18.47/hr; open to LA County students aged 18-24.

Location: Remote

Pay: $18.47/hr (Subsidy)


Zenitary is a wellness brand creating multi-sensory candles and fragrances paired with digital wellness experiences, including guided breathwork and meditation, to help busy and stressed individuals make self-care easier. We currently sell online and in person, and also host wellness events that incorporate fragrance and sensory experiences.


The internship role offers hands-on experience in the technical side of a growing e-commerce business while supporting the development of the brand’s digital wellness experience and integrating AI into its products and platforms.


Software Engineering for Small Business Internship

The intern will help improve the ecommerce website, continue developing our guided wellness app, and support AI and software automation that enhance customer experience and business operations.

As our IT Intern, you’ll work closely with the team. We’re looking for a passionate, motivated, problem solver who is eager to gain experience, contribute ideas, and help build practical solutions for a growing ecommerce and wellness brand.


What will you do:

  • Improve and maintain Zenitary’s ecommerce website, including functionality, navigation, mobile experience, and integrations.
  • Continue developing our meditation and guided wellness app and interactive features such as quizzes.
  • Build and improve applications using Base44 and other development tools
  • Explore AI solutions for personalization, ecommerce, customer experience, and internal operations
  • Help connect and automate ecommerce systems such as inventory, orders, shipping, customer data, and analytics.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide possible solutions.
  • Recommend software, APIs, integrations, plug ins, and best practices to support scalability, site health, and compliance.
  • Test features and document technical projects, process updates and changes for internal reference.

What should you have:

  • Background or coursework in Software Engineering, Computer Science, AI, or Web Development.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, or similar technologies
  • Knowledge or experience with Base44
  • Understanding of web development and ecommerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with APIs, databases, integrations, automation, or AI tools
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and work independently
  • Background in UX/UI
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively
  • Drive to learn, and willingness to take on challenges and go above and beyond.
  • Experience with e-commerce platform Wix is a plus.


Subsidy Role Information


Subsidy roles require students to have an Los Angeles County based address, and be between the ages of 18-24 years old. Once you are placed in a subsidy eligible position you will be required to present the following documents to processed in a Youth Center (AJCC):

  • Identification (School or State ID)
  • Social Security Card (Please ensure that it is signed)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Los Angeles County Residency, including a postmarked date (Report Card, Transcripts, or any mail that is under the applicant’s name)
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination OR valid medical/religious exemption
  • Work Permit (Required for Youth between the ages of 16-17 only)
  • The Youth Center (AJCC) WILL BE PAYING YOU for 160 completed hours.
  • You will be required to submit Timesheets to your YOUTH CENTER (AJCC) to be paid for your time worked.
