Zero Suicide Coordinator
Zero Suicide Program Coordinator (Non-Clinical)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Newton, KS
At Prairie View, we believe suicide deaths are preventable. Through the Zero Suicide framework, we work every day to make sure no one falls through the cracks. We are looking for an organized, compassionate self-starter to be the operational heart of this mission.
This is a non-clinical position that perfectly balances human connection with project management. If you are someone who takes initiative, loves building organized systems, and wants to find deep purpose in your work, we want to meet you.
What You’ll Do:
-
Patient Outreach: Keep tabs on enrolled individuals through regular, supportive check-ins and help connect them to resources.
-
Clinical Collaboration: Partner closely with our internal therapists and medical staff to coordinate care workflows.
-
Building Systems & Policies: Take the lead on developing new internal workflows, including creating postvention (post-suicide attempt/loss) support procedures for our team.
-
Community Training & Staff Orientation: Help onboard new hires onto Zero Suicide protocols and assist with community training events.
Who We Are Looking For:
-
A Self-Starter: You don't wait to be told what to do; you see a system that needs building or fixing and you take the initiative.
-
Tech & Detail Savvy: You have strong computer skills and are totally comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and tracking forms.
-
A Great Communicator: You have excellent verbal and written skills and can easily talk to patients, families, and clinical professionals alike.
-
Heart for the Mission: You want to be part of a tight-knit, collaborative team. Lived experience with mental health challenges or suicide loss is welcomed and considered a true asset here.
