Works on SpaceX's Starlink Aviation team in Woodinville, WA, debugging and fault-isolating electronic hardware for in-flight connectivity systems. Day to day they run root cause investigations on PCBA failures, analyze production/test/field data, and collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing to improve reliability. Core tools: oscilloscopes, schematics/PCB layouts, SQL, Python, Excel.
Embedded Software Engineer, Platform (Starshield)
Build and own the low-level platform software for SpaceX's Starshield spacecraft: bootloaders (U-Boot, Buildroot), the Linux kernel and device drivers, and secure-boot/firmware for CPU and FPGA boards, carrying it from development through test to on-orbit support. Core stack is C/C++/Rust on ARM/FPGA embedded systems.
FPGA Engineer (Starshield)
Designs, develops, and tests FPGAs for SpaceX's Starshield satellite constellation, covering safety-critical logic, sensors, cryptography, and RF/optical communications. Work spans the full FPGA lifecycle using Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL, Xilinx SoC platforms, and high-speed serial and networking interfaces, with Top Secret clearance eligibility required.
