Established in 1869 by Methodist minister Thomas Bowman Stephenson as the National Children's Home, the organization has a long and rich history of adapting to the evolving needs of vulnerable children and their families. Originally founded to provide a home for children living on the streets of London, it has since transitioned from primarily offering residential care to delivering a wide spectrum of community-based services. The charity's core mission is to ensure that every child has a safe and happy childhood and the foundations they need to thrive.
