About
In 1912, 26-year-old mechanical engineer C. Louis Meyer had a revolutionary idea and a dream of growth. That year, Meyer founded the Concrete Engineering Company in Omaha, Nebraska, beginning more than 110 years of outstanding industry leadership in concrete construction. His groundbreaking innovation was the Meyer Steelform construction system - reusable steel forms that could be removed and reused repeatedly, replacing traditional wood and tile construction methods. Over the decades, Ceco grew from a six-person sales agency for reinforcing bar and clay tile into a nationwide leader in cast-in-place concrete construction. The company gained prominence through prestigious projects like the Golden Gate Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, and Cleveland Union Terminal. During World War II, Ceco contributed to national defense efforts by manufacturing the Bailey Bridge and producing steel mats for Allied aircraft landings on remote islands. Today, Ceco Concrete Construction operates as a collaborative design-assist-build structural concrete contractor with operations across more than 20 locations throughout the United States. The company performs over 200 projects annually, representing more than 20 million square feet of contact area. Owned by The Heico Companies since 1995, Ceco is certified as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBENC) and continues to innovate with industry-adopted safety systems and construction methodologies. Ceco builds everything from custom homes to football stadiums, always with the same goal: constructing the highest performing structure for the least amount of cost in the shortest amount of time.
