About
We are a commercial-stage medical technology company focused on transforming the diagnosis and management of patients with serious neurological conditions. We have developed the Ceribell System, a novel, point-of-care electroencephalography (EEG) platform specifically designed to address the unmet needs of patients in the acute care setting. By combining proprietary, highly portable, and rapidly deployable hardware with sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI)-powered algorithms, the Ceribell System enables rapid diagnosis and continuous monitoring of patients with neurological conditions. Our mission is to establish the Ceribell System as the standard of care for EEG in the acute care setting and help clinicians save patient lives. We believe that by making EEG more accessible and enabling continuous monitoring through the power of AI, our system empowers clinicians to more rapidly and accurately diagnose and manage patients at risk of seizure, leading to improved patient outcomes and better hospital and payer economics. Our journey began with the idea of making EEG technology more user-friendly and accessible to healthcare providers. We saw a critical unmet need for faster and more efficient diagnosis of neurological conditions, particularly non-convulsive seizures, which can often go undetected without timely EEG monitoring. Traditional EEG systems can be cumbersome and require specialized personnel, leading to delays in diagnosis and treatment. We designed the Ceribell System to overcome these limitations. Our hardware includes a disposable, flexible headband and a pocket-sized, battery-operated recorder that captures and wirelessly transmits EEG signals. This allows for rapid setup by any trained healthcare professional in as little as five minutes. The raw EEG data is accessible through our web portal for real-time remote review by neurologists, and our AI-powered algorithm, Clarity, provides bedside interpretation to support prompt diagnosis and inform treatment decisions. We are passionate about the impact our technology can have on patient lives and are committed to continuous innovation and development to further enhance brain health diagnostics.
