Our story began in 2015 in a small Massachusetts town. Our co-founder, Chris, attended a local budget meeting and found it incredibly difficult to follow. He left with a simple yet powerful thought: 'Why is this so complicated? People should be able to see and understand this stuff. Everyone should.' This moment of frustration sparked an idea, and that idea became ClearGov. We are driven by the mission to create easy-to-use, modern software that empowers local governments and school districts to budget more effectively. We believe every community deserves the opportunity to leverage technology for more efficient operations and clearer communication. Our core purpose is to empower public servants to help local government work better, and we pursue this by designing solutions that are clear, collaborative, compelling, and cost-effective, ultimately fueling better budgeting and driving community support. We provide a comprehensive, cloud-native Budget Cycle Management Suite designed to streamline the entire annual budgeting process. From capital and personnel to operational budgeting, our platform helps automate workflows, increase collaboration, and centralize data. We're proud to serve over 1,300 local governments and school districts across the nation, helping them transition from cumbersome spreadsheets to an intuitive, integrated system. Our software is powerful enough for the largest cities and affordable enough for the smallest villages.
